As you can read in our brand experience section, brand experience is the sum total of all the interactions and engagements that customers and other important stakeholders have with a particular brand. Branded environments play a crucial role in this. For that reason we’ve develop below collection of guidelines that will help you in bringing the brand to life. We have three pieces of inspiration for you:
Brand Signage is incredibly important. First and foremost, it fulfils the practical function of guiding people to our facilities and once there, to help them (and us!) find their way around. It also represents one of the biggest and boldest representations of our visual identity. It has the power to amplify the essence of our “we bring progress to life” brand promise - and provides real stopping power and make us pride of what we make part of. The Signage family playbook gives a complete overview of all exterior & interior signage family elements, as a foundational layer of branding.
Group-steered signage rollout
For the rebranding of the dsm-firmenich merger-related locations, the signage project is steered at the group level by the global brand team, in close cooperation with GREW, site managers, and supported by the VIM-Group. To enable a uniform and cohesive brand representation across our locations, we ask all locations to strictly adhere to the group-steered signage rollout and not undertake any local rebranding actions for elements that fall outside the scope of the project. In case of questions please reach out to our rebranding partner via dsm-firmenich@vim-group.com.
Being the “Signage family” the foundational layer, the “Branded Environments playbook is going beyond, that aims to guide you on applying our brand identity in office, laboratory, and manufacturing environments. We have selected three archetypal areas where you can observe and draw inspiration from, aiming to demonstrate the thinking behind each area and how it can be applied to your specific context:
The core idea is that by understanding the approach for these three example areas, you will learn how to effectively apply the brand in any environment you encounter, while considering the unique functions of that space. Furthermore, the playbook offers you 11 considerations while applying the brand to environments from:
